About The Group

The unmistakable sound of Veritas brings a fresh approach to the contemporary classical genre. Their style is fashioned from a fusion of artistic excellence, creative pursuit, and a performance that promises to inspire an audience of any distinction. Under the direction of Roger Breland, Veritas was formed under the name, Shofar. Most recently, Shofar joined the Truth 40th Anniversary Tour as the male vocal line. The group has performed on stages around the world, including a performance for the former President of the United States, George W. Bush. In the Fall of 2012, Jeff Anderson, James Berrian, Andrew Goodwin, Jordan Johnson, and Lucas Scott Lawrence began a concert tour of their own as Veritas. Each member contributes an array of training, accomplishments, and credentials, in both classical and pop music, which yields an exceptional artistic experience. This experience is the powerful sound of five male vocals, singing both new and old songs, delivering the sound of love, hope, and excellence.

Jordan

Jordan grew up in Palm Beach, Florida, surrounded by music. From an early age, the desire of his heart was simply to sing, and that was exactly what God has allowed him to do. Leading worship in various churches in the South gave Jordan the assurance that this was the direction he was to pursue. After a year at Liberty University, Jordan moved to New York to study musical theatre at Circle in the Square, allowing him to perform at the prestigious Gershwin Theatre. He would go on to audition for musicals and receive an offer for a role in current Broadway play Rock of Ages. But Jordan knew that theatre wasn’t where God had called him to be. The University of Mobile was the next step in his journey, studying Worship Ministry and performing with premier vocal groups, Voices of Mobile and Shofar. Upon graduation, one of Jordan’s dreams was fulfilled when he was privileged to sing tenor on the “Truth 40th Anniversary Tour”. Jordan is currently living in Atlanta with his wife Crystal and their two dogs, Marty and Daphne. “I am honored to be sharing the platform with my friends, who just happen to be some of the most talented young men in Christian music today.”

Although his roots are grounded in rural Alabama, James is no stranger to seeing and performing in some of the most influential cities in the world. Jerusalem, Berlin, Paris, and Washington D.C. are some of the places in which James has been privileged to share his talents.
